JOB TITLE: Director, Business Improvement & Control

Critical requirements for this position are:
1) Direct experience working with major retailers such as Walmart or Best Buy.
2) Solid understanding of supply chain/operational processes: forecasting, CPFR, S&OP, VMI
3) Business Improvement experience such as Lean, Six Sigma Certification, Class "A" MRPII
4) Consumer Goods or Entertainment Industry experience

JOB TITLE: Director, Business Improvement & Control

LOCATION: Burbank, CA

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Job Responsibilities
1) Develop strategies, tactics and measurements to resolve business performance and supply chain management issues with a key customer such as: Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Target or Amazon.
2) Form a customer focused integrated account team and serve as project leader to implement improved business processes and results based on key initiatives identified by customer or WBHE.
3) Work collaboratively with customers and internal departments to improve forecasting, inventory management, delivery, invoicing and other business processes based on best practices.
4) Develop a strong working relationship with assigned account and obtain a thorough functional knowledge of the organization, performance measures and information flows.
5) Deliver improved business results in forecast accuracy, in-stock performance, inventory turns, lower inventory deductions and other metrics through process improvement work.
6) Plan and organize financial cost control activities, in concert with VP and other directors, and manages costs using agreed techniques and methods.
7) Provide early identification of problems, advise management of the risks and recommend corrective action.

JOB QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Work Experience

- 7+ years of well-rounded supply chain experience, a strategic business orientation
- Consumer goods or entertainment industry experience preferred
- Operational experience in sales, forecasting, inventory control, S&OP, CPFR desired
- Customer interaction with big box retailers

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification

- Bachelors degree is required, Masters or other advanced degree is preferred
- Six Sigma/Lean certification preferred
- Formal training on S&OP and CPFR preferred

Knowledge/Skills

- Ability to lead and manage in a highly matrixed organization
- Experience working with major retail customers
- Hands-on leader with strong communications, organizational and time management skills
- Strong operational, problem solving and staff leadership skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills, ability to work with limited direction.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and organize teams.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across organizational lines
- SAP experience preferred
- Knowledge of best practices in a consumer goods, retail environment
