A New Video Slide Show – One Day In Job Search Revisited

A few months ago I wrote a post called One Day In Job Search. It was inspired by a very cool song called “One Day” by Matisyahu. I discovered Matisyahu via a post by Jonathan Fields less than a year ago. How did I miss him prior?

Last night I gave a presentation on this subject to a group in Huntington Beach. I started with a video slide show to kick things off. Then I came back and highlighted key aspects of each slide. A quick 30 minutes.

The message of “One Day in Job Search” is to be hopeful, positive, confident through each of the big days of the process. Believing in yourself and your abilities so that your confidence is apparent. And that your true “self” can join in.

The reason I went back through the show slide by slide was to add structure to the inspiration. Sometimes inspiration is really optimism. And optimism can be dangerous in job search. When it leads to complacency.

Now I’d like to ask a favor. Will you go look at this video and tell me what you think?

The original post did not get a lot of traffic or comments so I’m curious. To see if video and audio will help get the ideas across with more strength.

So will you take a look?
